MATI is being held in downtown Chicago, along the Magnificent Mile. There are a multitude of food and entertainment options available to you while you're here.

Acceptance to MATI includes a per-diem to be used to cover attendees meals. There are many restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel and training center. Just a few of those restaurants are listed below.

Museum of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) is only one block from Loyola’s Water Tower Campus. MCA “champions the provocative side of contemporary art and culture.” The museum offers a frequently changing array of exhibits designed to challenge and stimulate the imagination. Daily tours are available, and leaving time to browse the museum store is recommended.

360 Chicago Observation deck is “located 1000 feet above the famed Magnificent Mile in the iconic John Hancock Building.” It “offers breathtaking 360 degrees views of the city skyline and Lake Michigan.” The modern café gives you the chance to eat and drink above some of the best views in the city. For the adventurous, 360 Chicago offers TILT. Described as Chicago's highest thrill ride, TILT will give you the chance to see Chicago like never before.

Navy Pier is a hub for dining, shopping, and entertainment in Chicago. Home to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and an AMC IMAX, there’s plenty of ways to be entertained. Or enjoy the sunny summer weather and take a spin on the Ferris wheel or the carousel.
